I plan on listening to your list. Maybe if members (those so inclined) submitted a MixWax 2 onto the Forum , FeedBands may take us up on a second edition? I know I have appx 2000 likes to choose from?  A daunting task....but - what the hell.  I'll give it a shot and set up a MixWax 2 playlist on my page.

    Infectious - MIXWAX #2

    jamesstirling

Which other songs would you like to see on a second mix wax?

    quizkid

Depends on my purpose of the Mixwax lp. (1) Is it to highlight artists that have 1 or 2 really good songs out of 12 or only submitted a couple of songs.  (2)  Do I want to highlight artists I follow that will not get pressed?  The later is easy - the former would take a bunch of research (which would be fun).   I have in my many past comments indicated a song that is Mixwax 2 worthy.  If I could search all my comments I'd probably have a dozen already identified (but I can't recall them off-hand).  It would be a pleasure to do either, though very time consuming.  (3)  If I had access to FeedBand data I'd be able to comprise  a Mixwax based upon data from members.   >>>> What's your top 12?

deepblue jamesstirling   I have two MixWax 2 submittals - both are on my profile: MixWax 2 - $ Picks  +  MixWax - 2 Dark Horse.  $ Picks are bands I have supported to the max.  The other is a list of previous "calls" and others  (long shots I wished to draw attention to).  I went through 2,000 of my likes - I am amazed at how many (seems like 90%) had no comments from FB members.  Not sure what that says about my taste in music?  Let me know what you think?

    Great blast from the past

Songs like this provoke the debate around an artist's responsibility. On the one hand, it's an artist's duty to reflect the times. On the other hand, it's up to artists to inspire.

This song's accuracy in reflecting our times is spot on. Lyrics, "we really had it coming/ couldn't see it from afar/ everybody occupied/ palm of their hand had them stupefied" and "the man inside the monkey/ laughs and licks his smile clean" paint an accurate picture of America circa 2017. Pair those lyrics with a soundscape that touches the ear like a razor blade and you've got one bone-chilled listener.

Maybe that's what @EDX is going for. But it definitely brings about an important question: what's the social consequence behind injecting listeners with [even more] fear?
